We have in Rome two airports:



From Leonardo da Vinci Airport to the center of Rome
After your landing you can choose two ways to get the center of Rome.

One is the taxi: they are just at  the exit of the building of the airport. You need about 45 minutes to reach the center and it costs ~40 Euro (year 2004). We recommend that you use only authorized taxis (white vehicles with a taximeters).
Another way is the train.
There's a direct railway connection from Fiumicino to the center railway station of Rome Termini (SPECIAL TRAIN LEONARDO EXPRESS) from 6.37 to 23.37 (every 30'). From Termini to Fiumicino from 5.52 to 22.52 (every 30'). Cost 9.50 Euro(year 2004)
There's also another train, every 15 minutes, to Tiburtina station (METROPOLITAN TRAIN FM1). Cost 5.00 Euro (year 2004).

From Ciampino Airport to the the center of Rome
Using taxi it will cost ~ 40 Euro (year 2004) and takes 30 minutes. We recommend that you use only authorized taxis (white vehicles with a taximeters).
Rome is also reachable by bus+train or bus+subway.

From Termini or Tiburtina railway stations to the University "La Sapienza"
From Termini you can walk for 15 min or take the underground, line B, to Castro Pretorio (one stop) or Policlinico (two stops) and then walk for 10 min.
You can also take bus n. 310, 71 or 492.

From Tiburtina you can walk for 20 min or take the underground, line B, to Castro Pretorio (three stops) or Policlinico (two stops) and then walk for 10 min.
You can also take bus n. 71 or 492.
